Mrs. Ruth Wall Crabtree, 94, passed away, Monday, June 27, 2022 at her home.
Mrs. Crabtree was born January 4, 1928 to the late Joseph and Iola Wall in Durham, NC. She was the oldest living member at Gorman Baptist Church in Durham, NC. Mrs. Crabtree loved her home and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Crabtree; brothers, J.D. Wall and Jack Wall; sisters, Shirley Leich and Louise Broome.
Mrs. Crabtree is survived by her son, Al Crabtree (Barbara); daughter, Dare Broughton; sister, Flossie Harrison; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to her caregiver, Carol Clark and Duke Hospice.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at Hudson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Craig Phelps.
Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions can be directed to Gorman Baptist Church, 3315 E Geer Street, Durham, NC 27704.
