Sandra Addison Haigler

DURHAM Mrs. Sandra Addison Haigler, of 2544 Burton Road, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her husband and children on Wednesday, June 04, 2014.
Mrs. Haigler was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late Hugh Addison and Julia Denson McDaniel. She retired after 20 years from Northern Telecom. What she loved the most was making memories with her family and being “Granny”. She was a member of Gorman Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Ronnie Haigler; son, Scott Haigler and wife, Sam of Bahama; daughter, Amy Hicks and husband, Mark of Wake Forest; two grandchildren, Jack Dylan Haigler and Tiffany Marie Hicks; brother, Danny Addison and wife, Carol of Durham; sisters, Eleanor Deering and husband, Chuck of Durham and Linda Langdon and husband, Rick of Cary; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her Hibernia Lake friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Griffin and nephew, Jeff Addison.
Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gorman Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Daniel Tilley and Dr. C. J. Bordeaux. Burial will be in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Kelly Hatley, Jamie Haigler, Kyle Hatley, Charles Flamion, Ronnie Williams, Sr. and Mike Phillips. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Addison.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home. Flowers are acceptable.
