Sandra Carroll “Sandy” Pleasants

October 31, 1962 — July 30, 2018

OXFORD Mrs. Sandra Jo Carroll Pleasants, 55, of Oxford, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018.
Mrs. Pleasants was born in Durham and lived in Durham most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Garland Ross Carroll and Arah Flowers Carroll. She was employed with University Ford for 32 years in Accounts Receivable. She was a member of Cresset Baptist Church. She dearly loved her family and was the glue that kept the family connected. She loved music of all types; four wheeling and photography. She loved West Virginia and planned annual family trips. She was predeceased by her brother, David G. Carroll.
She is survived by her brothers, Bobby Carroll of St. Petersburg, FL, Lemmie Ross Carroll of Durham, Kenneth Neal Carroll and partner, Steve Vandall of Henderson; sisters, Carolyn C. Bolton and husband, Cecil and Janet M. Pickett and husband, Scotty both of Durham, Louise C. Fleming of Creedmoor and Gerry Taylor of Stem; beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends; surrogate mother, Vickie Adkins and former husband, Clyde “Jack” Pleasants.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Bethesda Baptist Church, followed by a service at 7:00 p.m.
Inurnment will be on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Thanksgiving Baptist Church Cemetery in Selma. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com.
