Sandra “Sandi” Houlihan , 57, of Raleigh passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Durham, North Carolina. Sandi is survived by her husband of 28 years, Thomas Houlihan ; mother, Sachiko Aplin ; sister, Marie Wright (Greg); nieces, Lauren Wright and Lindsey Goeres (Richard); nephew, Nathan Wright; sisters-in-law, Mary Miller (David), Jeanne Wineski (Larry), Betty Lauhoff (Mike), Ann Catalano (Marty), Colleen Wilson (Bill), Aileen Canu (Steve); brothers-in-law, Tim Houlihan (Carol) and Patrick Houlihan (Sue) and numerous other loving nieces, nephews and family members. Sandi is preceded in death by her father, Robert Aplin ; brother, Michael Aplin ; son, Robbie Sawyer; daughters, Cassandra and Kristen Houlihan ; mother-in-law, Margaret Houlihan and father-in-law, Richard Houlihan .
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dale Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 5:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433, Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI 48081
Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 28th, 2015 at 10:00 a.m., lying in-state at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore Rd., Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48230.
