DURHAM- Tyson William Wrenn, Sr., 90, of Durham died on Friday, October 25, 2013. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late Artis R. Wrenn and Rodeah Jefferies Wrenn. He served in the US Army in the Southwest Pacific. He retired from Liggett Myers. He attended Grove Park Chapel, loved fishing, member of choir and special music, Awanas leader and member of the Last Durham Platoon.
He is survived by his wife, Betty F. Wrenn, one son, Bill Wrenn of Bahama; one daughter, Joy Wrenn Ivey of Durham; one sister Francis Sprinkle of Durham; four grandchildren, Sharon Burmahl, Christine Jernigan, Jamie Wrenn and Casey Wrenn.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Tim Wheeler will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jamie Wrenn, Casey Wrenn, Ron Seymore, and Pastor Eric Burmahl.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Flowers are acceptable. Online condolences can be made at www.hudsonfuneralhome.com
