Vera Peele House

DURHAM Mrs. Vera Peele House, 84, of Durham, died on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.

Mrs. House was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the daughter of the late William Clyde Peele and Kathleen V. Glenn. She retired from the Durham County School System as a cafeteria manager. She was a longtime member of the American School Food Service Association and a member of a local bible study group. Vera will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie House; son, Randall Wayne House and sisters, Joyce Ann Peele and Betty Lou Britt.

She is survived by her son, Matthew House (Jessica); daughter, Kathy House; brother, William Clyde Peele, Jr.; grandchildren, Kevin Benton, Jr. Joseph House and Gwendolyn House.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Duke Healthcare and Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Suite 101, Durham NC 27704 for the Hock Family Pavilion.
