Vivian Wright Yeargan

DURHAM- Mrs. Vivian Wright Yeargan, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday January 21, 2017.
Mrs. Yeargan was born in Hoke County, NC on August 4, 1925. She lived in Durham many years and attended Bethesda Baptist Church for over 20 years. Mrs. Yeargan was an excellent scrabble player and she loved to play with her friends and family. Mrs. Yeargan will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed to have known her.
Mrs. Yeargan is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Joe Cleve Yeargan, her parents, Arthur and Isabella Wright, daughter Sherrill Sorrell and three sisters Mamie Brown, Sallie Brock, and Isabella Bundy.
Mrs. Yeargan is survived by her daughter Jo Anne Yancey (Elmo); son-in-law, Andy Sorrell (Lyn); brother, James Wright; granddaughters, Michelle Elliott (Jerry), Wendy Henderson (David); grandsons, Tony Sorrell (Mary Beth), Cleve Sorrell (Tracy); great-grandchildren, Chandler Elliott, Chase Elliott, Madalyn Sorrell, Cooper Sorrell, James Smith, Wyatt Smith, Dylan Smith, Peyton Henderson, and many other loving family members.
Pallbearers will be David Henderson, Andy Sorrell, Tony Sorrell, Cleve Sorrell, Jerry Elliott, and Chase Elliott.
Gravesides services will be held Wednesday January 25, 2017 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Jacob Green and Pastor Jason Sikes.
A visitation will be held Tuesday January 24, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home.
