William Lunsford Williams

WILLIAMSDURHAM Mr. William Lunsford Williams, 84, of the Bethesda community, died at his home on Saturday, April 16, 2011. He was a native and lifelong resident of Durham, the son of the late W. M. and Mary Newton Williams. He graduated from Bethesda High School. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service after many years of service. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church and was very active in all its ministries as long as his health permitted.He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rita Britt Williams; four children, Gene and Nina Williams of Seattle, WA, Nancy and Peter Farr of Eureka, CA., David and Debbie Williams of Durham, and John and Rhonda Williams of Leland NC. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m.at Hudson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hudson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
